Common issues

A transaction wasn't detected

Ginti detected the wrong amount or category

Open the transaction → tap Edit → adjust any field → save. Ginti will use your edits to improve future detection for similar alerts.

Duplicate transactions appearing

Ginti tries to merge alerts from your bank and payment app (e.g. Chase + Venmo for the same charge). If a duplicate slips through, swipe to dismiss it from the Activity tab.

Transactions stuck in "Needs Review"

Open the Review card and tap Approve. To skip review entirely, enable Auto-Approve in Profile → Settings.

App is offline / not syncing

Transactions are queued locally and sync automatically when connectivity returns. No data is lost.

Budgets

How is my daily budget calculated?

Ginti divides your remaining monthly budget by the days left in the month, then adjusts after every transaction. You can override the daily target manually in Profile → Budget.

What is a category budget?

A spending cap for a single category (Food, Transport, etc.). The sum of all category budgets cannot exceed your monthly total — Ginti shows a safety buffer as you set them.

Free trial

Ginti Premium includes a 21-day free trial. No payment info is required upfront for the trial.

Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Privacy and data

What data does Ginti collect?

Account info (email, name), transactions you create or approve, and budget settings. That's it. No location, no contacts, no advertising IDs. See the full Privacy Policy.

Is my financial data sent to AI?

Only sanitized text — account numbers, card numbers, phone numbers, and emails are stripped before any AI request. AI providers do not retain inputs or use them for training.

Export my data

Profile → Export Transactions → CSV.
